Noha lyrics

Noha – A form of poetry recited by Shia Muslims to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions at the Battle of Karbala. Often recited in a mournful tone with percussion instruments, it expresses grief and seeks to evoke emotions of empathy and compassion for the tragedy of Karbala. It is an integral part of Shia culture and is recited during the month of Muharram and the first ten days of the Islamic month of Safar. Noha is considered a means of expressing devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and keeping alive the memory of their sacrifices.
